Laura Ann (Brown) Newton joined us in 2023 as paralegal to Michael L. Roberts. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013 with a B.A. in Professional Writing and Public Discourse, as well as University Honors in Science and Technology, and achieved her paralegal certification through Auburn University in 2017. Specializing in legal writing and brand development, Laura Ann is known for her efficiency in chasing down and communicating information.
After beginning her legal career working with mass tort claims and large injury firms in Birmingham, Laura Ann proudly returned to Etowah County. While working as a paralegal in personal injury and civil litigation, she extended her expertise to the marketing field, creating and optimizing content for legal websites.
Laura Ann is the 2004 and 2005 Alabama Spelling Bee champion and remains actively involved in helping Alabama students, particularly those who homeschool, access educational opportunities such as the Scripps Spelling Bee. She holds a key to the city of Rainbow City.
Besides being an avid fan of Marvel Comics, Taylor Swift, and sweet tea, Laura Ann enjoys wedded bliss with her husband, Daniel. They serve their three cats loyally.
